HANFORD, CA — Burlington is scheduled to open a new store on 11th Avenue in the spring of 2026, bringing one of the city’s most requested retailers to the area.
The new Burlington will take over the former 99-cent store location, which has been vacant since the business closed in early 2024. According to ABC30, the company is renovating the building to prepare for the opening.
The move comes after residents showed strong interest in the brand. Burlington was one of the top five most requested retailers in a city survey, receiving more than 800 votes from community members.
City officials and Burlington expect the new location to create jobs and generate tax revenue. According to city leaders, this money will be used to fund community services and support local growth, helping to improve the quality of life for residents.
The new retail location arrives as Hanford continues to expand. The city was recently recognized as one of the ten fastest-growing cities in the United States.
