VISALIA, CA — The College of the Sequoias men’s basketball team defeated the Coalinga Falcons 97-59 on Jan. 7, 2026, at Porter Field House. The victory marked the 200th win of head coach Dallas Jensen’s career.
Jensen reached the milestone in his ninth season as a California community college coach, bringing his career record to 200-38. In seven years leading the Giants, his record is 149-30.
The win moved the Giants to 1-0 in conference play and ended a two-game losing streak. The game also marked the beginning of the Giants' quest to repeat as Central Valley Conference champions. The program has now won 25 of its last 27 conference games.
The Giants secured the victory by outscoring the Falcons 57-28 in the second half. Javon Bragg, coming off the bench, led the team in scoring with 20 points while contributing six rebounds and four assists.
Mason Dorsey also recorded a “double-double”—reaching double digits in two different categories—with 15 points and 10 rebounds. Dorsey added six assists and six steals before leaving the game after committing his fifth foul late in the second half.
The Giants are currently ranked No. 20 in the state with a 10-5 overall record. The team next travels to Reedley on Jan. 10 before returning home to face Fresno City on Jan. 17.
