VISALIA, CA — The Melting Station, a popular downtown restaurant, is closing its doors today, Jan. 22, 2026. The owners announced the closure on social media, explaining they could no longer afford to keep the restaurant running at its current location.

According to reports by ABC30, several financial challenges led to the decision. The owners said high rent, rising utility bills, and supply costs made the downtown location too expensive to keep.

While the Main Street site is closing, the team behind the business is already looking toward the future. They are currently exploring new ways to run the business and are considering changes to the menu. The restaurant may return in a different format once the owners decide on their next steps.
