VISALIA, CA — Firefighters saved the R-N Market from major damage on January 6 after a fire broke out on the building’s exterior.
Emergency crews were dispatched to the market on South Lovers Lane at approximately 3:30 p.m. When they arrived, they found a fire burning on the outside of the building. According to YourCentralValley.com, the flames threatened to spread into the store’s main shopping area.
Crews contained the blaze before it could move inside. Officials say the quick response saved the business from being destroyed. Although the fire was kept outside, the market suffered minor smoke and water damage.
No one was injured in the fire.
Local authorities are currently investigating how the fire started. No further details about the cause of the fire have been released.
