LOS ANGELES — A Metro Blue Line train derailed in downtown Los Angeles on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, after colliding with a pickup truck.
The collision occurred at about 4 a.m. south of the 10 Freeway. The train jumped the tracks near the intersection of Washington Boulevard and San Pedro Street.
About 60 passengers were on the train at the time of the derailment, but no serious injuries were reported. The driver of the white pickup truck was also unhurt.
Authorities are investigating what caused the crash and the derailment. No further details about the crash were immediately available.
