VISALIA, CA — Miniso held its grand opening at the Visalia Mall on Saturday, Jan. 24.
The new store offers a range of products, including beauty supplies, household items, stationery, and toys. According to the Visalia Times-Delta, the brand partners with famous names like Disney, Sanrio, Harry Potter, and Peanuts to create special products.
The Visalia store is now one of about 7,700 Miniso locations worldwide. Founder Guofu Ye started the business in a garage in Guangzhou, China, around 2016. Since then, the brand has grown into a global chain that continues to expand across California.
Miniso is the latest international discount store to open in Tulare County over the last two years. In October 2024, the Japanese chain Daiso opened a 7,020-square-foot store at 4043 South Mooney Boulevard.
While Miniso is located inside the mall, shoppers can find a different selection of goods at the nearby Daiso. The Japanese chain features unique home decor, gardening tools, and specialty treats like octopus-flavored corn snacks. The addition of Miniso gives Visalia shoppers more options for affordable, trendy products.
The new Miniso is open during regular mall hours. For shoppers visiting other stores in the area, the nearby Daiso is open from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
