The New England Patriots and the Seattle Seahawks will meet in Super Bowl LX (60) next month after winning their conference championship games this past weekend.

The Seattle Seahawks secured their spot in the championship with a 31-27 victory over the Los Angeles Rams in the NFC Championship Game. Under head coach Mike Macdonald, the Seahawks earned the top seed in the NFC. The team has won 13 of its last 14 games heading into the title matchup. Quarterback Sam Darnold has played a clean postseason so far, throwing no interceptions. He has relied heavily on wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba, who led the NFL this season with 1,793 receiving yards on 119 receptions.

The New England Patriots reached the Super Bowl after a 10-7 win against the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium. This victory marks the Patriots’ 12th Super Bowl appearance, which is a new NFL record. Head coach Mike Vrabel, who previously played linebacker for the team, led a defense that allowed the fourth-fewest points in the league this season.

On offense, quarterback Drake Maye led the NFL by completing 72 percent of his passes during the regular season. This year, the team also captured the AFC East title, ending the Buffalo Bills’ five-year streak of division championships.

The upcoming game is a rematch of Super Bowl XLIX (49) and features two teams with long histories of success in the playoffs. In that previous meeting, New England won 28-24 following a goal-line interception.

Betting sites, including BetMGM, currently have the Seahawks as 5-point favorites for the championship game in February.
