TULARE, CA — The Tulare Historical Museum Gallery will host the "Tulare Student Art Exhibit" next month, highlighting the creative work of local junior high and high school students.
The exhibition is scheduled to run from February 26 through March 28, 2026, at the museum located at 444 W. Tulare Avenue. Admission is free. To kick off the event, the gallery will host an opening reception on February 26 from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
The showcase will feature a variety of student-created work, including sculptures, oil paintings, acrylics, pastels, and watercolors. According to the Tulare City Historical Society, the exhibit is intended to celebrate the talent of local youth and provide a public platform for their work.
The Tulare Historical Museum, established in 1985, uses two galleries for its changing exhibits: the Heritage Art Gallery and the Depot Gallery. These spaces host a rotating schedule of holiday, cultural, and historical displays throughout the year.
In addition to the student art show, the museum maintains several permanent displays that focus on regional history. These include exhibits on the Yokuts tribe and the Southern Pacific Railroad’s role in the town's founding. The museum also features collections honoring local Olympic gold medalists Bob Mathias and Sim Iness, as well as the Manuel Toledo Military Collection.
The museum is open for guided tours and regularly updates its schedule of seasonal displays.
