VISALIA, CA — The City of Visalia is partnering with tech company CivicPlus to build a new website designed to make online services easier for residents to use. According to the Visalia Times-Delta, city officials aim to launch the new site by mid-March 2026.

The Visalia City Council made replacing the current website a top priority during its 2025 planning sessions. The city’s current digital platform has been in use since 2015 and is due for an update.

New Tools for Residents

The upcoming website will include SeeClickFix, a system for residents to report problems like potholes, graffiti, and abandoned vehicles directly to city staff. Through this tool, users can attach photos to their requests, helping staff find and fix problems more quickly.

In addition to general services, the Visalia Police Department’s section of the site will receive an upgrade. New tools will let residents report certain incidents online and submit crime tips anonymously. The city is also setting up a system that allows the public to submit and track official records requests directly through the website.

Accessibility and Design

The city is building the site to meet federal Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards, ensuring it is easy to use for people with disabilities. To reflect the city’s identity, the design will use Visalia’s official brand colors, including bridge blue and downtown gold.

Project Costs

The city will pay $74,805 for the first year of the project, which includes a one-time discount of $47,726.

In the second year, the cost will rise to $114,506 for the annual maintenance fee. After that, the city expects the fee to increase by about 5% annually for the following three years.
